Hey Guys,

Just got my T610 a couple of days ago - after having a 2year stint on the darkside with a 3310 (prior to that I had a 337, 768, and a T28s)

The phone is awesome, great battery life, but it shows fingerprints so easily and the screen is bad in sunlight, but I'll live with it coz the rest of it is so damned sexy!

Only problem is I can't get email to work over GPRS. I am on AAPT and it's been enabled, but I've entered 3 different POP email accounts and none of them work All come up with "Server Not Found". I've even resorted to putting a DNS server into the AAPT WAP GPRS Profile - no joy. Any other AAPT users out there by any chance?

Hoping to pickup a cheap Bluetooth USB Adaptor for the PC this week too, so I can upload some new pics and tunes

Nathan

AAPT Prepaid does not support GPRS. I am not sure if you are on postpaid or what. Remember also that AAPT uses Voda's network.

Aussies, just thought I would pass on that I had my phone upgraded to R8A015, and got a couple of other little issues fixed (volume slider and keypad was worn out) at a place in Parramatta called Mobilefonerepair.com. Took the phone in, they said it would be about an hour, and indeed it was, keypad cost me 5 bucks but software upgrade and volume slider were both under warranty. I would recommend them if you're anywhere near here and need any work done

Hey all,

I've had my Ericsson T39m for almost two years now, its out of warranty and the phone is playing up majorly. The signal is hardly ever present, occassionaly it comes back to full strength and allows me to make a call, but usually what happens is that there'll be 2-4 bars for signal strength, but the moment i try dialling, it drops out, and the only way to get a signal back is to restart the phone.

Any clues on whats doing this? I had the same problem with the phone when it was about 10months old and had it replaced with another one under warranty, now this one is again about 10months old and doing the same thing..am i doing something wrong?

Anyhow..

Im in the market for a new phone, I'm looking at a T610 (can get one off eBay for $457) or maybe even a P900 depending on the price it gets released at.

Where are some good sites within Australia to look for phones?
I've found so far:

http://www.stop.com.au
http://www.ow.com.au
http://www.discountmobiles.com.au

Would it be worth continuing this thread just to list URL's?

Cheers
SantoB
