The following Eldar's observation bothers me very much:

"The volume level of the K850i has much to do with the space between the speaker and your pocket or table – if there is some, it will sound as loud as the Sony Ericsson K790i/K800i. But if there isn’t, you will run into the issue of barely audible sound – the loudspeaker aperture can be easily covered, so the sound just won’t come out. Perhaps this is one of the most vital shortcomings of the handset".

Can i wake up in the morning, when space between loudspeaker and the table is missing?

Where did you get that?

PS.Theme doesn't go quite well with my K810i.

read eldar's review a few weeks back, and now i feel compelled to share my thoughts on the k850i. first thing, it's not the nicest looking phone out there is it? K series might be a cybershot line, not a fashion line, but that doesn't justify the fact that the phone itself looks odd. very half-baked design i think.

the redesigned UI and internals, it looks like SE is moving more towards nokia and vice-versa as eldar mentioned. this could be a good thing for some, but i honestly feel that SE is losing it's unique intuitiveness.

but the thing that strikes me the most is the lack of an auto-shutter. what is SE trying to achieve, using those actual cybershot camera buttons on the k850i? it's a phone, for chrissakes. active lens cover was a great innovation, but this to me is a step BACK from convergence. what would they think of next? SLR lenses? why not just stick a sony t100 at the back of the w880 and call it k1000 or something? pointless.

this is not one phone i'm looking forward to.

When you press the button to activate the camera, the shutter opens automatically, like on real digital-cameras.

And K850i doesn't have this function? So how the shutter is opened?
