yeah ramu said that first batches of xperia Z might sport inferior displays...that's what happened with xperia S he said...but thereafter it should be ok....

The problem with the XS display was the yellow tint/yellow spot debacle after the first few weeks the device had been released. Fingers crossed I dont see that happening with the Z. I would be surprised if Sony change the sceen of the Z after a few weeks of it's release. Okay it may lack somewhat in contrast and brightness, but aside from that it's still a decent screen. I know this as I visited phones4u only yesterday, and overall I was impressed by the display.
honestly i was one of the first batch of the XS and never have this problem

Big advert on street today

I ask though how much has Sony spent on advertising this phone?? I have rarely seen adverts or anything on tv etc

Going by that? Doesn't seem like they spent much, I mean really "Sony reinvents the phone" ???

this is the company that brought us the Walkman, the Playstation, the best camera phones during their partnership with Ericsson etc... And THAT is the best they can give us for their make or break device?
The Z just like the HTC One needs a huge marketing campaign behind it.

@Tsepz_GP
They are quoting a reviewer from Stuff TV on that advert. It wasn't Sony that said that.

As far as I know nobody has complaint about the display who owns the device and I'm looking forward to buy XZ once it's out in India.
I said it before and still I stick to my words, this smartphone will change things not only for Sony but for everyone. In the smartphone market, we got a device which has a style & innovation and now users will ask for more. Till now we all were use to those plastic looks of smartphone but Sony as always brings stylish impressive looking smartphone and with XZ coming into the market, this is just a beginning!
