No, I have a choice thanks, or are you now going to defunct the iPhone and all Nokia phones? I just like the looks of the Touch Diamond, however I know Windows Mobile is renowned not to be good. That is what makes it a difficult choice as it's a PDA first, phone second.
In regard to SE, I have no doubt they will continue to launch UIQ phones, and then they will launch the new Symbian OS phones in 2 or 3 years so they will always be offering a choice.

You mean SE is still distributing Beibei protos? I thought it's canceled.
As I understand it, it's canceled for Western Europe, which means the major carriers won't get the phone, but it'll be available elsewhere, and also easily importable, same as Paris.
I really really like BeiBei. I may get it along side the C905 someday.

I always liked it and was always considering it as an option. But I agree with the point you're making. I think the X1 will be more popular now, because people are going to be less keen on buying a UIQ

if any more appear, which I presume they will.
That and it has the specs everyones been asking for and the Ui looks like its improving in looks and speed. One thing I didn't like about previous Wm phones is the screen size and shape wasnt able to fit a dialpad and dial screen in properly but the wide VGA deals with the issue. The only problem is how often the stylus would be needed to do day to day tasks. Because its still designed for the stylus.

@Londonlad
Yep, and that's the problem. The G900 has been designed to not need the Stylus any more, especially with the D pad. But the Win interface is not, I like the Touch Flo it looks great, but it's the same stylus driven interface underneath that comes from the Ipaq day's which frankly looks utter rubbish.

Which is why people should wait for the W960 successor. It will give a good indication of the UI direction that SE is taking (maybe a PSP style with finger friendly controls?) and since it will be high end, you can check out the hardware in comparison to the X1.
Many people would go for the X1 with UIQ over WM anyday and this Walkman may just be the answer. The Java video showed a device with all kinds of slide action (qwerty) so people should keep an open mind.

LOL I keep saying I'm not a brand freak, but Nokia and SE are alway's going to be better. I think I'll buy the G900 still as the whole point is to get a smaller phone otherwise I would stick with my P1. That way in a couple of years or so there will be totally new Symbian devices out there to choose from with what I suspect full finger friendly display's.

That's a point.
It's the only SE smartphone offering highest possible specs.
And I need top specs.
I don't care about any walkmans or G series. It's all a compromise.
In fact, Gseries/P1 offers no developement over first UIQ3 series.
So, if you're OK with a bit older specs, P1 looks almost like an ideal smartphone.
Compact, good RAM, UIQ which I like so much, qwerty. Stable.
But I need new technology and a good processor. X1 is the only one having it from SE and probably nothing will eclipse it for a loooong time.
I mean, if I'm going to spend money with a new device, why not to essentially upgrade specification?
It's also a long time before new unified symbian will appear (what can be interesting).

If it's true that Paris will be available in Asia then i'll take it over X1. It's specs are good except the CPU. And it will be much cheaper you know.

Don't believe that.
