I know most of the people who post all the leaked info on here are pretty much spot most of the time but could there be something regarding the annoucment of the Honami in Paris tomorrow
1. The press invite as we know is in Paris
2. The leaked screen shots show the Eiffel Tower
3. The new Geo-tagging icon is the same
Could just be a coincidence but you never know

I think it's just a coincidence XperiaJunkie. The Eiffle Tower is a very easily recognizable landmark to it's a logical choice for a tiny icon for a feature and the picture of the tower could be there because of the choice to make it the icon.
It doesn't make sense for them to have those things related to a Paris event in a system dump, especially since IIRC that system dump came from North America, no? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it come from a North American carrier, maybe Canadian?

yeap that makes more sense.
here's the info from a JVC 4K Camcorder:
so if honami is capable of h.264 encoding with HDMI output for direct to TV then awesome!
4K Recording: 3,840 x 2,160
MPEG-4 AVC/H.264(.MP4) 4 Stream Separate Recording 60fps/50fps/24fps Progressive at 144Mbps
4K recording for up to 2 hours (32GB SDHC, x4)
2 hour in four 32GB SDHC
2 hour 128GB
1 hour 64GB (max honami SD card support)
better than 20 minute but still not usable in real life

4K video recording is supposed to be used for few minutes, max a dozen or so. I'm sure that the phone will get too hot before reaching 20 minutes of 4K video (it might be longer in winter

). So I'd say that real obstacle is the heating problem not storage.

As do I man
Ramu seems certain no Honami for this event, so I'm willing to go with him on this. I'll remain hopeful of course.

admad is right actually. I saw multiple instances of the warning message " Your phone has overheated, please wait few minutes for the temperature to go down" in the Camera app.

Well I hope they do implement lossless zoom in Honami in video recording
They could, if they have enough processing power to be able to use all the pixels from the sensor, which is what the Finish did with both the n8 and the 808.
So far.. those are the only two phones which can do that, and considering that one of them is over 3 years old, its rather bizarre.
I hear that iOS 7 has some clever algorithms that do a better job in terms of digital zooming from the 8mpix sensor, can't wait to test it out, but I doubt that it would be as good as the 808.. especially during 1080p.

I think that in the case of Nokia, we talk about pixel binning
Its not pixel binning.

GSMArena: Is your oversampling technology different from pixel binning technology?
D. Dinning: Yes, it is more complicated than binning. We looked at a number of different methods how we could do this, and some methods preserve more detail, but there are generally a couple of problems here. One is that there's just something not right about the images when you use binning. I won't use the term natural, the term that we use is they are not pure. When you look at the picture, you just see the pixels that relate to the exact detail. What you end up with is you never have strong contrast and there's always a certain softness between pixels—you see three or four pixels leading from black to white. You never see black then white pixels next to each other. Whereas with oversampling, typically you can see pixels literally switch from one color to another. It's really clean.
as far as I know they are using something very similar to the Lanczos algorithm.
