No one at Sony Ericsson is breaking rank and say that it will be delayed to Q3.

All of us are getting a June/July launch date.

Sony Ericsson Singapore was saying that the P990i will be available in March before the official delay to Q2 and recently, they have stated a June launch date.

Let us hope that it is true that it will be available in June as Sony Ericsson Singapore will look foolish as it seems that Sony Ericsson HQ and the regional Sony Ericsson offices are not relaying the same information.

Really ? ? that seems a huge price to me, and even though im not rich i could afford to buy one at that price, but i wouldnt. £399 is the maximum id pay for the P990i sim free.

yes really, sim free i wud pay around £450.
all the P series so far that i have had on contract have cost me around £400 anyway, so paying £450 with no contract would not be so hard.

Sadly, I'm going to pay whatever it costs to get this phone as soon as it comes out. All this waiting has driven me crazy and I don't think I could go a single day after the phone is released knowing that I could have it right then! Just had a birthday, so maybe I will treat myself next month. Looks like play.com is the best bet right now, but we'll have to see final prices hopefully for release in June.

By the way, to anyone who has used the phone or knows specs: does the P990 support flip closed internet browsing? I always wished my P910 did this because sometimes I have to look up some quick WAP info one handed and don't like having to break out the stylus and use Opera.

The prices quoted on that website seem okay, but the availability dates don't make much sense. It says P990, M600, and W950 will all be available in 68 days, which is mid-July. But SE claims P990 and M600 release in June and W950 release in August. The site also says K610 will be available in 38 days (June), but SE say release in July. So the dates don't seem very reliable, but it's good to see more places having pre-release prices .
