hi

i read the the detailed description that freworld gave regarding free gprs and stuff on 69,70... I bought a 6600 4 days back i tried what u said but could not connect. I smsed PRE AIRTEL LIVE TO 676 and they gave me a message no default configured. so because of that my antenna "t" isnt gettin replaced by "G".but when i go to opera and type sites the antenna changes to blinking "G" then is shown inside a box but doesnt connect even then. Leaving that apart i tried the rest of the steps but couldnt get connected.it says could not connect to remote server. And i think i remember when the customer care told me tha my airtel live is already activated but i dont see the "G". pls can u solve my problem.you can even mail me at youngeinor@gmail.com. by the way i am a prepaid user.got enough balance so what is the problem.??????????pls anyone help me.

Thankyou

Hi youngeinor,

Welcome to this thread.

I think you have problem in either Phone settings or in the Tower(BST). I suggest you to delete all GPRS accounts and create a GPRS account by putting the settings manually. If it doesn't works, format your phone. If this also doesn't works, then it's surely Tower problem.

When am connecting to yahoo messenger. Its connects successfully then after a minute or so it disconnects giving the following error.

@young go to settings>connection>gprs and select "when available" instead of "when needed" under gprs connection. Wait for some time for the g to appear, else goto network settings and set operator selection to automatic, or simply restart your phone.
Since you are getting a g in a box, which means a connection has been made successfully to the access point, it doesnt really matter if doesnt show g or shows a crossed out g(which means conn. Is on hold-happens when signal is weak,calling/texting is used)

@all please stop quoting long posts and address the person directly. Its adds unnecessary length and makes reading difficult, not to mention eating up server space. Please dont quote unless reminding of some post made a while back.
