@chi,
to check the software version of ur phone...pls follow the sequence below...
R * L L * L *
where R = right (joystick)
L = left (joystick)
then choose #1, then #1 again....the very first line u can see will be the software version, with R6A012 being the latest software version.

upgrading the software correct the bugs found in old versions....
sms alert tones will be louder now, and the latest software version (R6A) can support the zoom features of the mca-25
kindly bring ur unit to our office and have it upgraded while u wait...

if u bought it from an authorized distributor and is still under warranty, then the upgrade will be free.
after upgrading, all contacts, themes, etc will be retained and will not be deleted.
