If I remember it right, they said "Another announcement a month after communicasia"
That would be nice.

Indeed. Some nice Walkman devices would be V Nice, there seem sto be a lack of them.
At least we know that this years flagship 16GB touch Walkman is in the pipeline.
They would do well to have it announced and on the shelves before Christmas.

They'd do well to announce and release it within the same quarter, tbh......
Great T610 successor as well...not(I'll keep T650, thanks, T610 had top spec cam for it's time, not some cheap only-good-enough-for-a-walkman-phone, non-AF garbage)...I hope PK wasn't talking more hot air about the 5mp T650 replacement......

That's the one I'm watching. Right now, that's the only thing that could sway me from Shiho. Of course, final specs will determine that. I anticipate a 5 MP AF camera for the Walkman and at least a 2.6" screen. I'm kind of hoping it'll be in the same style as the W960 with a numeric pad, but we'll see. Full touch wouldn't be so bad. The OS is what concerns me, though. Frankly, for technology's sake, I hope it's WM...but then for usability's sake I hope it isn't.

I should think 5.0MP cam wouldn't be too much to expect. If they can fit it in the C902 then there is no reason it shouldn't appear on this device.
Plus, history has shown that the flagship Walkman cams megapixel count is always the same as the previous years flagship imaging phone so this years Walkman should have 5.0MP if history is to repeat itself.
Something along these lines wouldn't be too unwelcome:

Precisely. And with a lot of the most recent stuff having a more Sony/SE Japan feel to it, I wouldn't doubt the Walkman phone flagship would somehow have a similar feel to a Walkman music player.
ETA: It also wouldn't surprise me if the Walkman flagship is similar in styling to the X1. Previously, the Business flagship and the Walkman flagship have been based on the same design, and the X1 is the closest thing to business we have at the time, so a keyboardless X1 with the soft-touch paint and a more serious bent on music and media would also be welcome. And as such, we'd essentially be back to the picture you posted.

Well I for me it would be nice if they could step away from the 'branded phone' way of doing things and come up with a device that was 65% music player and 35% phone - let the music take a priority for a change.
A DLNA certified, 16GB, 10mm, 2.4" touch screen monster - oh and by the way it can make calls as well.

DLNA--yes. I hope that's a feature of all future WLAN-enabled phones. I checked my Vaio and it has DLNA, so I'm excited to be able to use it.
I think my perfect Walkman would be the W960, but with 802.11b/g, DLNA, 5MP AF camera, GPS, FM transmitter, and quadband GSM/triband HSDPA.
I do hope this Walkman flagship is impressive. They've always treated their Cyber-shot and Walkman brands well, and the C905 is very impressive, so I hope this one can pull out all the stops too.

Yeah, I just purchased a DLNA Vaio and VGf-wa1 music streamer so a nice phone is what I need now to complete the network. I'll be surprised if the new flagship Walkman isn't DLNA certified really.
Is the codename for this new device Kumilko?
