Personally I don't know whether to try and hold on for a few more months in the hope that
surprise us all, or to cut my losses now and find something else.
I'm toying with the P1i but hardware wise it's old now and not very inspiring.
Trouble is I don't really want to go to Windows Mobile, the iPhone is locked down (officially) and there are still limitations on the 2.0 firmware and the Nokia N96 is damned expensive SIM free and may have below average battery life.
Never really looked at Samsung, LG or other phones in this range, so my choices are limited.
Am I putting too much faith in
to deliver something new and exciting this year?

if i could drop linux on an HTC Touch Pro ... id ditch SE in a heartbeat ... but as it stands they are my options, i prefer a company keep me by what they plan to do instead of what they have done, my brand preference is SE and it pains me that they are doing nothing to keep my business other than our near half decade long relationship.
but ill wait on the HTC Touch Pro if SE can convince me otherwise ... and ill possibly get a C905 (hideous in its design personally) or just go with a NIKON D60 + HTC Touch Pro.

Why would it be bad news? Apart from the fact that I do not believe it could be a true 8 MP, it's always good for us the consumers to be presented with better options. Unless you are an SE employee, you should welcome better devices regardless of where they come from. It's even good for SE, it will force them to come up with better devices if they want to stay in the game.

If news about LG's phone are true,then I hope that the quality of its camera would be good...Because,the Viewty has the worst quality in photos from alla 5 megapixels phones.....SO,if LG bring something similar to Viewty but the same in terms of quality,it isn't a great step in my opinion...
