Will you upgrade the Xperia™ X10 mini, mini pro and XperiaTM X8 to 2.3?

No, we have no such plans. We have had to prioritize our resources and have therefore focused on delivering the upgrade to XperiaTM X10.

From the Product Blog.

Man, this puts me a little bit down

If you want Gingerbread in your Mini's, there are some roms at XDA:

[ROM] Srom-2.3.3Gingerbread

[ROM] xCyanogenMini - Gigglebread

It's not dangerous. I've rooted my phone and that was easy. I'm reading how to flash it. I just need to install the xrecovery and voilá.

If I get chance tonight i'll post a few links to guide's to flashing with x10flashtool. Don't know when but it will be sometime tonight. I've also converted the generic uk firmware over to ftf file format so it can be used with x10flashtool straight away. If anyone wants it they can pm me their email address.

Really thinking of trying one of the custom ROMs myself on my mini pro but waiting on my new battery as the current is only lasting half a day.

You would have to be an absolute dumbass to brick your X10 when using xRecovery method to install custom ROMs, its dead easy, no need for a PC. As long as you read the instructions thoroughly you won't have a single issue.
