ArsenalFan, it's not about most important but consistently top results in all benchmarks. Sadly Intel fails at that.

Intel chips have always been great at Antutu, but sadly Antutu isn't the only or the most important Android benchmark. Intel chips perform much worse than the best Qualcomm chips in all other benches.

then what is the most important Android benchmark? Quadrant?
(WOW page 900. I think we reach 1500 before Honami

)

I just listened to the podcast of Eldar Murtazin and there is not much to add but I will summarize it in short.
EM is complaining about the size of 6.44 inch XU at the same time saying the Samsungs Mega 6.3 inch can be considered comfortable (prejudice IMO)
Then he mentions that the new 20 megapixel phone from Sony is supposed to be available in September.
He says that he spoke with a product manager at Sony who told him that the new sensor will be exclusive to Sony in the beginning and other producers will come with it only in Spring 2014.
The product manager also said (according to EM again) that the drivers are not optimized yet and should be finalized only 1/2 year after release.
EM's speculation is that because of this the quality of pictures will be mediocre in the beginning compared to other photo oriented phones.
He gives an example with Galaxy S4 which uses an older sensor but makes better pics than Xperia Z.

Is he trolling? Samsung fanboy much? GS4 uses the same camera sensor as the Z!
Depends which GS4 you're talking about.
The I9500 Exynos Octa has a Exmor RS
The I9505 S600 has a Exmor R.
Don't know which Z uses.

Question: is this Eldar guy info generally genuine?
Because it sounds to go against the one sony objectives.
What happened to past phones, assuming true, may not reproduce because it is the same guys doing the rx100 II and honami camera, so they know how to make the software to go with the sensor by the launch date...

Yea that's true. Past phone camera like Xperia Z was developed by sony mobile and not sony camera division. Honami camera will be develop by sony camera division

It's often good to take what Eldar says with a pinch of salt. There's often truth but it's covered in a whole lot of bias and exaggeration.

@Aurelius:
I know, I think I did not express myself right. Intel has no chance in terms of marketshare and/or as many features on one compact SoC, thats true.
But I guess Intel will take the lead when it comes to performance per watt, and to be honest that is way more important for a mobile device than to have the highest benchmarkscore.
@KurtDean:
Well Eldar may be right with the image sensor. The S600 variant at least uses the 13MP Exmor R (without S).
As a consequence this may be the reason for the lack of HDR-video function on the S4 at the moment.
Enough offtopic from me, sorry about that.
So it's good to hear that the sensor is made by sony camera division, I guess.
But I'm sure even with not perfect software Honami should outclass every other android smartphone when it comes to IQ at ease!
Edit:
@Tsepz:
Sony Xperia Z, it definitely uses the 13MP Exmor RS, capable of HDR video unlike my S4
Honami, how long do I have to wait for you

So.... nothing new from Sony this morning, except maybe the drinks?
A bit disappointed sure, but also glad because now there isnt anything announced that i feel i must have. So i can go ahead with my plan to buy the ZR which just released here in Sweden. All i got to do now is wait for it to show at my local store so i can get a feel for it. And the order it online. So the big question now is which color?

@Aurelius, yes Qualcomm may have that for now but once Bay Trail is being completed, it should comfortably beat Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 in every single test you possibly can throw at it.
It's not all about hardware which Intel already excels in, It's when big software developer support Intel architecture we will see the paradigm shift.
@random
You can't just dismiss Antutu scores as nonsense, not that I care too much about those myself.
The fact it has scored well above 40k at just 1.1GHz is mighty impressive.
It shows it has proper oomph for phablet/tablet usage.
I would want to see Bay Trail-T duke it out against Schnapsdragon 800 in graphic heavy tests.
