I'm happy waitng for the C905, the C902 will me do me until then but I guess I'm not as demanding as some users.

They need to diversify with their form factors and bring out some large screens to compete with Samsung etc.

They really need to make phones with larger screens,atleast 2.8" to compete with smartphones out there

Beibei had as much value to it as Paris did as a member of SE's product portfolio. Paris was meant to increase the maximum specs of a handset running UIQ as a P series flagship. Beibei, on the other hand seemed unique, in that it was the first smartphone I have ever seen (from SE, at any rate) which seemed to specifically target females. They both would have probably sold really well. Id love to know what the real reason for their cancellation is. It cant be Symbian Foundation IMO, because in 2 years these specs wont be as acceptable/impressive as they are now, something much more serious will overtake/replace them by then anyway, as far as SE's line up is concerned. Could it really be that industry experts' criticisms of the lack of cutting edge specs be the reason for the cancellation? Was there a crucial change to UIQ3.3 and the way the software itself was run?
Anyway, time to look forward to this month's announcement. Hopefully we will see more of what we are waiting for.

@ares, I agree with you. I had come to the same conclusion some months ago, probably because I'm more technically oriented and I have actually worked as a project manager.

The next announcement will be either 22 or 27 july if my memory serves me correct.

Patti will be one of the devices that will be announced.

Seriously Guys, just think - Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications Japan step in, and the current Sony Ericsson portfolio is merged with models from SEMCJ (of course with added features such as Bluetooth and the fastport to 'localise' the Japanese handsets)...

Maybe they couldn't find enough vital components to put into production.

Its not the first time they've had this trouble. I remember they had the same problem around the time the W810i was in production, there was shortage that was affecting production.

@Prudent

The bringer of good tidings. Patty sounds interesting. Hope it looks as good as it sound.
