Whats EMMA III?
Do I have to use EMMA III first, and then SEUS to upgrade my phone (when the sw is released)
EMMA III Is what Sony Ericsson Service Centers use to update the phones. No only Service Centers Engineers and Sony have access to this website.
As said in the previous thread, No release date regarding the SEUS. All I can say is the SE are working on a update, But dont expect it too soon.

@darrengf
Quick question for you. My EROM is older but I flashed my phone to R1ED001, (EROM = R3A011), the phone is fine. Works like it should. Is there a bother to upgrade the EROM in terms of performance or should I not "fix" it if it ain't broken?
Cheers and enjoy the Hols.

But its gonna be released on SEUS, so you don't need to send in it to Service Center...
You are saying its not gonna be anytime soon, and I think you have pretty good knowlege about SE,so maybe the fastet and best way is to send in the phone to SE...

I just called my local SESC here in Malang, East Java, Indonesia-and guess what, they didn't even have any K800i f/w! Let alone this EROM upgrade.. An update or a full flash is done by capital province's SESC, within 2 weeks..it's 90 km far, 6 hours bus trip.

To further bump sapporobaby's query from the previous page: I flashed mine to R1ED001 as soon as it was available on Wotanserver, the EROM is R3A011. Is there any benefit at all in this upgrade to the EROM?

Answer to the question is Yes.
Service Centers have only been issued in the last 2 weeks the EROM update and from the prev post there is a service Adiv regarding the EROM update.
The Firmware doesnt stop the phone from white screening which is a major issue in the K800i. The EROM does this. As siad the EROM is a BIOS of the phone. Basic (B) Input (I) Output (O) System (S)
Erom stands for Erasable Read Only Memory.
hope this makes it clear
