I'm really stuck on which phone to get, I considered the 4S but the small screen is a deal breaker for me, just too small these days although I wouldn't want any bigger than 4.3" I don't think.

So it's between the S2 and the Xperia S, although I have to admit I am not keen on phones that don't have a dedicated camera button which only Sony's and Nokia's seem to have apart from the odd couple on other manufacturer's phones.

Really torn between the S2 and XS.

X S. S2 sucks compared. It's also more choppy and slower, c'mon.

GS2 slow and choppy??? thats THE BIGGEST load of rubbish ive ever read...and ive read a lot of rubbish
GS2 seems to remain the benchmark in Android until the GS3 arrives. Every new Android has been compared to it and most seem either to fall short somewhere or it may lose by a slight margin, very impressive for a year old device.

Rather wait for GS3 to be announced before making a decision.

Had my S2 for 6 months and it was never choppy and slow, I still say it is a better deal due to the removable battery and expendable memory and the camera of the X S has a yellow tint

Exactly.

Sorry for my english but : in good light conditions xperia s make more "pleasant" pics , good details (but a bit grainy compression in full size) and yellow tint which gives more warmer colors.

The S2 is more colder colors but nice though and tends to overexpose a bit (exposure compensation is your friend).

Got my White Xperia S in Mumbai, India today for INR 30,999/-

Got the following included besides the charger:
1) Leather Case
2) HDMI cable
3) Car Charger
4) Headset
5) 2 NFC tags
6) Pre-applied Screen protector
7) 50 GB complementary free Cloud space on Box

Initial Impressions: Wow. Running firmware .62. No new firmware available yet here.

The Screen is terrific. On full brightness blows away other phones with excellent readability in sun. Zero Lag so far.

Installed a whole gamut of apps, switched back and forth between them and had no lags whatsover. The only thing that happened was that Skype Force closed a couple of times.
Configuring the Smart Tags was pretty simple.

All in All so far looks good. No yellow spot issues noted yet. Battery life shall be tested over the nest few days.

The sound and video details are crisp clear. The call volume is also pretty good.

^ Battery life is still horrendous at the moment - holding out for the upcoming update!

Re the SGS2 vs X S camera - SGS2 still just pips it for me, X S (as with Arc) errs towards over saturating colours (rather than cooler SGS2) and tends to be noisy. SGS2 has slightly better detail with less noise and more colour accuracy. X S has better dynamic range thou.

Got my Smart Tags today, spend a little while configuring them - definitely seem a little gimmicky at present but they seem to have potential - set all my setting changes up, but shame there is no enable for flight mode. I wonder if NFC will drain the battery (i.e. having it enabled in settings)?

My SX S started lagging today while playing mp3 thru loudspeaker and (at the same time) doing other stuff like scrolling thru pictures and menus...
