Does anyone have any info on Remi? As the proud owner of a T650i I'm very interested to have an idea of spec and design.
Design? Well you can see it here:

Apologies, I thought that went under a different codename. It must have been the mention of that phone being the T610 remake rather than the T650 successor...

no, fixed focus is not autofocus! fixed focus fixes the photo in one specific distance

so as to differentiate it from the photographic SE models and to highlight musical emphasis. But it's not alwyas the case. there are a few

Sometime back I suggested that SE should do the following with regards their walkman line: as soon as the cybershot range moves up a notch in the mp range then they should include autofocus on their walkman phones since they don't want to give us a W800/810/900-like phone. What I mean is now that we're at 5 and 8mp why not give us an autofocus 3.2 mp walkman or even 2mp with autofocus. One thing for sure is that the K800/810 series is old and won't make much difference in their sale if they did the above.
This could be the trend when they move on to 10mp cybershot, then the 5mp walkman would have autofocus without interfering with the K850/C902 series. It would mean that the C905 with its 8mp isn't affected until the next cybershot version , say 13mp, is introduced which leaves the new13 and the last 10mp as the current cybershots with higher mp sensors. The walkman would therefore be two steps behind.
Afterall the walkman series always trails the cybershot in the mega pixel race, what harm could be done if they did this?

I just wish they could be consistent in this. That is what I mean in my post. Look at the beautiful W980, they could've included autofocus to complete a great looking package.

True and we shall find out soon with Patty which apparently has 5MP AF and Walkman. Hopefull this means they have turned the corner and responded to what people want.
Like you pointed out, they could make the Walkman version different by including a larger mem card and better headphones. It would hardly eat into their own sales.

Yes, true. I hope it will change with patty, but I think it's just a single walkman with good cam.
