Hey Guys,....
when you are connect to PC, at that time are you able to receive INCOMING CALLS ???
I tried calling from other numbers when it is connected to PC, It says "The Airtel u have called is either switched off or out of calling area, pls call later"

This will surely happen Becoz you are using a trick to connect to Gprs... And tats not allowed by Airtel..

I'm able to receive calls as well as sms's. At the time of incoming sms, a cross mark comes for the GPRS icon and it goes after receiving it. But at the time incoming/outgoing calls, a prompt comes "Packet Data in hold". After disconnecting call, it says "Packet data active" and I can continue after that.
After the 3G is enabled, we can browse & talk together with our 3G enabled phones.

@alands let the edge facility first settle itself in india.. Then only we can think of 3g..

You do 1 think... Try downloading a big files.. when the download is in process. you call on ur number from some other number and try... Then you see.... What u will get.

lol. I receive more than 10 calls while gprs is on. I just now checked it by calling from dad's cell. Yes, I'm receiving calls(sms's also). So there is no doubts.

Am not saying when ur just connected... or ur connection is not active.
Try when download process is active.. When u see the two internet lights ON (taskbar)

today i received calls frm my friend. at that time the gprs was disable. after call gprs working properly though i connect frm my computer.
