quote from M-R K850 camera review:

"Despite being recessed, the glass is still prone to smudge, just as the entire rear face. Of course, you can give up on wiping it, but the best shots come out when it is clean. Well, this is another serious drawback to the new design – the protective glass attracts grease and dirt with ease."

That assessment is correct

It is the best theme that follows the K850

Waait a sec... if it really is a theme from a K850... then it shouldn't be able to work on my K810, because it uses a new softkey layout (now there are three buttons on the bottom of the screen).

Eldar never really said that the lense on his test unit was CLEANED did he? Also can you account for the other previewers like that from 3-4pages back - linked - also had the lens hardly smudged. In Eldars test reviews he really treats his phone with abuse, as if he'd owned them for months and its no longer new to him .... you get a pretty good idea of how a phone will look after 8mths or so. Until proven wrong with a review that shows other wise, I'll stand by my deduction. Oh, btw, the fingerprints should be on the lens as equally smudging as on the shell without intentively trying to do so just a normal touch or 3 should suffice but should be equally applied to the shell.

With the N95 already out, an 8 Gig version on the way as well as the N82 which will also have a Xenon flash not to mention the new LG U990 out this October do you think SE will have made a bad choice releasing the K850 so late in the day.

Maybe K850i is late compared to nokia's N95, but in my opinion thats not so important if the K850 can take better shots compared to N95's shots or the other rivals from the other brands.

A: NO!

Why? N95 is a little to late and will definately piss off a few users that purchased this in North & South America; and the few in Australia that also bought the Euro version. Battery life will STILL be an issue = 1 day full features usuage. Many have had loose slides which will become annoying. N82, sorry that is one UGLY phone, bar none! I though the N91 was bad but N82 horrible and designed to be different for the sake of it. Ergonomics is pretty bad. LG U990, does this have Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA? NOPE! Nor does either N95a/b. So for daily usuable features - not everyone wants/needs GPS - the K850i will come out on top.

I've been saying this for some time.

This phone would have been a success if released at the begining of summer. With this timing, it lost its appeal to me.
