Only Samsung (for large volume) and HTC, LG, Xiaomi (small volume)
allow to do that (even some business are at loss) to win headline
and media placement first among others manufacturers.
It no longer free market, someone always dictate something when business got monopoly

Hopefully a long time to release would mean that they've redesigned at a late stage because they realised what they had wasn't good enough and we will now see a different design direction to originally intended.
It probably also means they rushed this generation a little and we'll see a more refined version of the same design next time round.

I feel this more related to the fact that samsung bought up all the initial stock of SD845s and sony was either late to the game or their order was not large enough to warrant them getting SD845 stock earlier than for a June release.
Whatever the reason, waiting 3-4 months for a new smartphone may discourage people from buying sony and opting for other brands. Maybe this works in Japan but elsewhere I feel people are less loyal.

Question is - what do we know and what is the xz premium 2/pro going to have ; most likely a flat or 2.5d screen?
I think 2.5d screen - I'm guessing based on the trend.
And in saying if it is a 2.5d screen what's a good screen protector (not tempered glass)
I've heard there is 2.5d or 3D (ie not full adhesive) what's the difference? What's better?
And what's full adhesive vs not full adhesive?
