@berry, i bought my cassiopeia in mongkok (hk) more than 3 years ago, only broke last feb 2002 so i nerver needed service. incidentally, it self healed just after i got my ipaq. still working as i post

@arnold: was thinking lang if minalas at may defect yun unit syempre hassle din if punta ka pa ng hk for replacement or repair. am not familiar with compaq kasi e. sa palm kasi we experienced sending the unit to palm singapore because of defect sa screen. all shipping cost sila bahala. dumating in 3days time.

@berry ... yup it has international warranty as long as you buy it in the accredited dealers. the thing is, the dealers record the serial number of the ipaq and sends the serial number to compaq on the day of the purchase.i knew this because my ipaq brokedown a week after i bought it (my fault). the dealer (ambassador in shangrilla) haven't sent the serial number yet to compaq cs so initially they did not honor my ipaq when i called. after a while the cs called back (i left my number) and then she entertained my complaint. it was fixed in a giffy! one thing i like about compaq cs is that it is quick. got compaq prolinea before (long before when 486 dx4 was an IT computer) and a dual processor compaq server and server was really ok.

for your own protection...get something that ph service centers will honor. esp if the product is expensive.

speaking of warranties, i bartered for my m125 with a college guy who already lost the receipt and purchased it from a shop in shangrila towers but he forgot which shop รถ would i remedy my situation if i registered online at palm.com its serial number? or should i look for another proof of purchase or track down the shop? thanks in advance.
