I've had the Arc S since March 2012.

Trying to take decent pictures in the dark of cycling sporting events the Arc S camera fall's down on - movement + darkness = not very good pictures no matter what settings you use with the camera.

IF the Homani camera is up to the job then i'd be tempted to upgrade, if it isn't then I wont bother with it.

I don't really want to buy a digital camera IF I can get a phone that can do the job instead.

What you're trying to achieve is near impossible with a mobile phone. You're better off getting a good ILC camera with a lens with a large enough aperture to compensate for the slower shutter speed.

@PowerLee

Most likely (today) candidate that would serve for your need (in mobile segment)
I thinking about ... Nokia Lumia 925 and it sixth element lens

but it indeed WP8 with frustrate limitation and everything.
also Microsoft is slow in features, apps and eco-system catch-up game.

.
for reminder, Sony's hardware never been any good since Nokia's day still shine.... don't feed troll!

I feel it would be in the best interest of Sony to release the honami quickly after announcement since apple will be announcing the 5S in septemberish. Although if the sony isn't released in the US right away, then that won't make a big difference there but for europe perhaps since usually the iphone release occurs in most of the western EU countries as well.

Have you seen the hands-on round-up? The firs hands-on review includes a display test and the contrast is just 652 and white level in max brightness is just 362cd/m2. It's so disappointing.

well the brightness it's ok (not great, iPhone 5 has something like 552... but it's on the s4 level)... the black is disappointing in fact D:... the s4 anfd the HTCOne has both over 1000... happily the color gamut is 15% wider which is really good paired with the X.
-reality software

Still it's a gorgeous screen this time around!

If Ray 3 is the smaller version of Honami, it isn't due until Q1 2014

Insiders -Any update on the Honami's potential screen? Have the specs dropped or can we still hope for a 1000-2000 contrast display. IIRC the last rumor was that Sharp will not be the screen-provider, so we shouldn't expect the massive IGZO power savings (I think Ambi mentioned that, right?). Is that still true, or could we still be getting that wonder-screen?

Btw, anyone who got access to Honami's system dump, there was anything related to IR Blaster (like Tablet Z or ZR)?
