That's not true at all!
Be it Xperia Z vs S4, Note 3, G2
Or
Xperia Z1,Z2,Z3 Vs Note 4, S6(similar Sony sensors)
Sony's hardware has been top notch while software algorithms have been pretty bad.
Other Companies have achieved pretty terrific results with same sony sensors where sony failed.
And if there was any fault in Sony's Hardware, almost every company out there wouldn't be using them!

And when another company uses Sony sensors, it does not necessarily mean that the sensors' specifications would be exactly the same as the one being used by Sony on their phones. The general design is the same but the specifics are tailored to customers needs. And no Sony smartphone uses the same sensor as Note 4. So how can you make the comparison then?
The photos taken from Z1 and Z2's cameras have some softening issues around the corner and is addressed on Z3 by changing the lens 25mm one. But all three suffers from focusing issues that results to washout pictures. check on gsmarena.
I came up with this theory when I read the review by gsmarena of a phone who sports an exactly the same sensor as Z2 I think and it has exactly the same problem as Z2. Although that phones uses a bit different approach than Sony's. it still did not solve the issue of photos looking washout and blurry.
Let's just hope Sony's new sensor comes with a sharper lens and better focusing mechanism. So then we can finally tell whether Sony's camera algorithm is at fault as to why the Z-series cameras cannot really be ahead of the competition or not.

If this delay is because Sony is targeting 815 then I'm happy with that, 815 is supposed to be between 810 and 820, it's supposed to be the first SoC that uses Qualcomm's own 64bit arch.
but Qualcomm didn't actually announced it, they just announced 820 which is supposed to use a second generation of that custom 64bit arch and also newer GPU and finer process ( 20nm for 815, 16/14nm for 820 )
The most important thing is that if they launch it in April/May with 810 then, 810 will be already 3 months old... but 815 will be new...

820 uses their custom instruction set so hopefully they won't f**k it up so badly. I've heard that Sony are going to throttle the 810 by around 40%, but it should still be competitive with other processors in the same hardware class and noticeably faster than the 801. Not sure if that last bit is just wishful thinking by my friend.
Believe that was from a few days ago, I wonder if the information is recent or past. Throttling by 40% is significant, meaning a QHD screen might not be in the cards, if it is, then I wonder how smooth the UI will be. If throttling is true, Sony should stick to fullHD.

I never said same.
It's like a a bit of difference here and there.
Even they are named in same series
So just refrain from cooking up some random theories.

So you can never really make a direct comparison on the software side and says Sony did poorly on the software side because the sensors are totally different! If you remember your high school physics, you would understand.
And I can back up my theory but can you do the same with yours. I can make all the assumptions I want to because I based them on facts.

Qualcomm has been rather messy with their release schedule.Snapdragon 810 can't hold a candle next to exynos 7420.If Qualcomm don't replace it fast,the S6 will have a huge advantage over the other android flagship phones.I don't know Sony's plants,but i hope they will at least use a revised version of snapdragon 810 that won't overheat as much.
