Q. This is part rumour eligible, I hope lol.
My z5 premium has a flat screen and the xz premium has a 2.5D screen? Correct me if I'm wrong ~
Question is - what do we know and what is the xz premium 2/pro going to have ; most likely a flat or 2.5d screen?
I think 2.5d screen - I'm guessing based on the trend.
And in saying if it is a 2.5d screen what's a good screen protector (not tempered glass)
I've heard there is 2.5d or 3D (ie not full adhesive) what's the difference? What's better?
And what's full adhesive vs not full adhesive?
Cheers
It's looks half plastic, it's a little flexible and too much reflective and fingerprint magnet... Got 1 for my xperia X last month and it's broken from 2 place already just like a tempered glass... Another problem is that as the adhesive is only on the outer edges, alot of dust got between the phone glass and protector through the speakers grill cutouts on this screen gaurd. Don't like it at the end of the day...

Got one for my XZ and it's reflective AF. It's literally a mirror. Peeled it off the same day.

Looks like another device has shown up at the FCC
https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=3729509
has a 5" display with the measurements of -
Overall (Length x Width): 135.425 mm x 64.63 mm
Overall Diagonal: 146.426 mm
Display Diagonal: 126.06 mm
The Xperia X also has a 5"display but it's taller and wider at 143 mm x 69 mm so it looks like fairly small bezels on this one.

Seems like the new compact model or the original 2016 X successor.
78.69% stbr is good for a 5-inch smartphone.

That's almost 10% more STBR than the Xperia X and it's narrower than the Z3 Compact and the original XA which is impressive.

Sadly it must be 18:9.
XA has 5" and edge to edge screen.
Width is 6.68cm.
When I click on the link there is a " YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS THIS PAGE".

I hope it is 16:9, though.
Looks like every Sony phones this year will have tiny side bezels but still has huge top and bottom bezels but slightly trimmed. As long as the same stereo speakers but has better quality, new design language, premium materials like Z series, big battery, and acceptable top and bottom bezels, it will be okay for me, but of course, everyone will complain.
