Hey Brix,Springboks are in Cape Town on Monday. Are you going to check them out.I would have loved to,but going to be in happy tranquil Franschoek
working.@Wangs Those roads leading to Franschoek as you get out of Stellenbosch are absolutely gorgeous and ideal for people with a passion for those fast machines with two wheels. When you are here again in Cape Town you can hire a superbike and take me for a spin.Show me who's my Daddy lol

@ Hobbster,
Unfortunately it's not free if using the phone as a modem... here's their T & C:
'Fair usage policy: To ensure the fair allocation of network resources for all customers the Offer may not be used for: modem access for computers, internet based streaming services, voice or video over the internet, Instant Messaging, peer to peer file sharing and non Orange internet based video.'
Whereas that all seems quite restrictive, I have to remind myself that evening browsing and posting on forums etc is indeed free, so perhaps I shouldn't complain too much.
I remember driving around areas between Franschoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl, when the mrs and I were looking at wedding reception places back in 2002. (We eventually settled for a nice coastal resort near Yzerfontein and Langebaan, called Ganzekraal).
You're right about the area, there are indeed some stunning roads and scenic routes to twist the throttle along around there. I'm actually very well behaved when taking pillion/passenger though...
@ Kyle,
Welcome to the thread!

You're indeed most welcome here. Like The Hobbster said, hopefully we'll see more of you.
BTW, I tried this link re the mall, but unfortunately it's a bit of a dead end, to say the least...:

@ gola,
Yeah it is still such a fantastic handset; the fact that it is still on sale here, even with the K800i and K850i, as well as the Walkman phones, says it all really. They go for £59.95 (approx R850) here, subject to a £10 top-up. That's one helluva lot of phone for the money, as you know.
Hope you come right there.
