Its good but no better than on the P1. There is no new music enhancing technology to boost the quality for the music flagship device. The only difference is that the volume has been given a boost.
And when I say on Nokias I do of course mean with 3rd party headphones, not those horrible Nokia propietary headphones.

Just to add my 2 cents here
How can you claim that if you didn't even know if the W960 had been released. If you are basing your opinion on the few reviews that have been released (MR and GSM Arena tested prototypes) then you have no place to criticize anyone. Eldar from MR actually admitted that the sound quality on the W960 is very good in a Podcast he made after the review.

Let me tell you something: the sound quality in the W960 is much better, then in the P1. Did you ever had any of these two phones in your hand?? I guess not...

On what basis? With the propietary headphones? I dont think so.
It doesnt even have a 3.5mm port. The N81 has a DSP built in, its better.
This is like you arguing a PC withouth a graphics accelerator plays games better than a PC with a graphics accelerator.
And yes I have used P1. The W960 is after all the same hardware underneath.

Can you prove it fails to beat W810 with figures and RMA tests? Please go into more detail as im facinated to see how it would get beaten by a device that doesnt employ any music enhancing technology. If you know anything about a DSP or the chip used you wouldnt even be making such silly comments. Forget w810 it would even beat the w910.

It's my own experience dude.I found w810i more bassy and clear.I don't go by RMA results, and then again i don't fine any difference between SQ of n91 and w810i(n91 is just loud).Remember sq is subjective. I have normal ears(not audiophile

).

Sound quality is subjective, and regardless as to having an audiophile to do a test, i dont listen with an audiophile i listen with my ears. Imo the average person will play it by ear when it comes to sq, whatever sound best will be the phone purchased. Ive listened to the n95 8gb and ive listened to my p1i and my other se phones for me se wins and yes even against an ipod, which are crappy sound quality anyway. The average person would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a dsp and a regular mp3 player thats why you need an audiophile. DSP just becomes bragging rights.
