@marjonz
Yep. You are correct.
Also, regarding your bad experience with the other SE service center... keep your cool. The service rep you encountered is probably one of those who were trained to do things completely by the book. If their service manual says that the phone should be working, then they'll insist that the phone is working, even if the display is dead, etc.
Anyway, March is just a month away, and you can finally have your unit fixed. Hehehe.

guys,
is it possible to use a p910i flip on a p900 (assuming, of course that there are "replacement flips" available)?

sayang. the keypad on the 910i flip really looks much easier to use than the one on the 900, which has very small keys. which is my only beef with the older model...

just get a 2nd hand P800. it's cheaper and you would have a lot of spare parts

fellow p-series users, need your opinion on this.
here's the situation: dropped my p9 last night, unit still functioning but not 100 percent. phone ok, apps still working. however, screen doesn't respond to stylus taps (unless i press the sides of the unit). brought it to semicon-rockwell earlier tonight, and right off the bat upon hearing my explanation, the csr told me "ay kelangan ho palitan ang lcd niyan. may mga cases na kaming ganyan, ayaw mag-respond yung screen."
a new lcd would set me back about 7,200 + 500 labor. i told her to have the unit checked first, let me know what needs to be done, then i'll decide.
my question: should i seek a second opinion from that other repair center, sess? i've read about the criticisms against semicon here but (against my better judgement) brought my unit there anyway because it was easier for me to go to rockwell than glorietta. is it possible the damage isn't that bad and an lcd-change might not be needed after all?
thanks a lot for whatever help you can give.

chances are that the lcd will indeed have to be replaced.
as far as the service center is concerned, the the only one i would recommend is smartnet. very good service and usually cheaper than semicon. sess is ok i guess, but smartnet is always my 1st choice.

thanks senninha, will keep smartnet in mind next time. but whaddyaknow, the semicon csr called up today and said "ok na po phone niyo. may hinigpitan lang sa loob. hindi pala kailangan palitan lcd."
i was just so thankful the damage wasn't major, i held back from telling here "well, you shouldn't have been too hasty about your conclusions."
