@ Hobbster,
I actually find the menus a bit slower than on the ol' P900. I do miss the flip options of the P900 too. Oh well, I do make a point of learning a few more P1i tricks each day, when time allows.
So it's Halloween tonight. Fortunately last year at our new house in Essex, nobody bothered to trick or treat in our street, which I was thrilled about.
A lot different to when we stayed in London itself..

Ok Wangs a tip to increase speed.Turn off 'Transition' Cant remember off hand where in the menu's you'll find it but it helps.Also a firmware update to the latest also helps.But first try deativating 'Transitions'. Started downloading from MP3Fiesta.Before I can start getting my stuff I promised my boss and her daughter an album or two each.So Im downloading Jamiroqaui's 'Dynamite',ABBA's 'GOLD Greatest hits' and Putamaya's World Music 'Brazillian Lounge.' After that comes the Trancemasters,Sisters of Mercy,Nirvana Demo Tapes,The Cure ect ect So much fun!
