i've gotten that a few times too. it happens randomly and i can't really say when it will happen. sometimes an item in a menu will appear in that funny code, but when i back out of the menu and select it again, it then displays normally.

Im a little confused in to why some people think that the K800i music player is worst that the K750.
The phone however is not marketed on a music player, that what the w series does best. However i have never had a problem and find the player just fine. If you can explain then i will try and help?

i've actually been comparing the music players of my K800 and K750 with W800 firmware back to back, and while the K800 doesn't have megabass, it seems to offer better clarity with solid bass. while everyone has their own taste, i actually prefer the sound quality of my K800.

i think most of them are disappointed by the fact that SE did not include MEGABASS.
but for me, the player is way better

I was usually complaining about the bad sound on the K800 but after the new sw i have dowload from wotan i find the sound of the K800 is at least the same as my W810 or W800, so now i am happy with the mp3 side of my K800.

By your logic, they should also be CyberShots as well. Market differentiation. The W is targeted at one market while the CyberShots are targeted at another. This is not too hard to understand.
