I've just checked at EMMA and the branded O2 and Vodafone firmwares are online, so I think it won't be long

Tried the iPhone over the weekend comparing to my W960i and I'm glad I went for the W960i !!! The iPhone is far superior for video though. Neat graphical & user interface features but seriously lacking in functionality.
The iPhone might have two speakers but they sound crap compared to the single speaker on the W960i which also has higher volume and less distortion at maximum volume.
I've owned many dedicated mp3 players including Rio, Creative, iPod etc. and the W960i is easily up their in its sound quality & even the included earplugs are good. Sounds fantastic with DS980's.
There was a thread previously on this forum that showed P1i/W960i/P990 have dedicated audio chip as part of the spec. See if I can find the link.

@psikey
That's right! They run Philips' Nexperia which has it all included. 3D graphics, audio DSPs and so on.

on our website. It'll be updated on our website within the next 48 hours. I'm
unable to provide you any details about the pricing of the Sony Ericsson W960i,

You can call our sales team on 08702 257 879 to buy the Sony Ericsson W960i mobile phone and they'll help you. But then i rang up and spoke to a few people and they either don't have a clue or i'm given false information.
