My bet would also be on a curved sensor or at least camera related.
I do hope they truly deliver a class leading camera package (including image processing).
They bark on about the 'best in a smartphone' every single year but real people opinion shows they aren't the best.
Have they cried wolf too often on being the best? Will a top-notch camera package right now save SONY mobile?
They need to show something really spectacular in two weeks.

it's not ridiculous logic but it's not savvy either. sony could probably produce a smartphone camera that would blow away everyone else, but they have a thriving camera business so it is a difficult choice to take away from that market share. instead, they choose to make a really good camera which gets complaints, does rank high among other smartphones when tested by supposedly unbiased reviewers/testers. i don't think there is any smartphone out there with a camera that people don't complain about these days. they all have their flaws. what sony needs to do is improve their AUTO mode. the camera in their xperias are great and with manual tweaking for the conditions/subject, you can produce some stunning photos. but their auto mode is utter crap. that is where they need to improve in order to appease the masses.

Galaxy S7 camera has many admirers. It's very quick, and snaps awesome photos in pretty much every condition. Same can't be said for Sony phones. All I see is messed up details from Xperia cameras.
Why are reviews are not talking oversharping,not natural colors and less dynamic range then?
Becouse those reviews are single minded paid by Samsung.
