I just upgraded my K800i firmware to R1ED001, I also noticed the bug where the menu item turned into strange address names. And it happen randomly, so far, I have only encountered it once.

Now I am able to use videos as ringtones, was this option available before R1ED001?

Yes the random stuff was mentioned a page or so back and yes the video ringing tones was there before and is mentioned in the user manual.

interestingly, the funny code thing would occasionally appear immediately after i flashed the phone. since i powered it off for charging, i haven't seen it again. hopefully that's the end of that...

hi all - just wondering if you can help me out with something - i just upgraded my k800 firmware and forgot to back up my phone, so i've lost all my contacts/settings/texts/etc.

i have found a backup from a while back of my old phone called K750.MS - it's an XML file but i can't find out which application i used to create the backup.

can anyone tell me what phone sync/backup program creates files of the .MS variety ?

cheers,
-m

Just a question, has the new firmware allowed different ringtones for incoming video and voice calls? Correct me if this was already possible.. cause i cant seem to find where to change it...

asked the local SESS here via email and how stupid can they get. i'm just asking when is the possible release of the new FW for this phone and they kept asking my phone. i jsut said i want to ask if they new the date of the release. then finally the last email said that the latest FW for the phone is R1E. iam asking now if they've uploaded it in the net update service or do i need to send it over to them.

what's even more amazing are the CS of SE... that can't even answer the question "would you know the posible release date of the new FW" ...

i mean its answerable by a NO. but they don't seem to want to answer that... they just blab blab blab

I've upgrade via Wotan.
I'v notice there is still a bug. Maybe its just my phone, but I had the same problem before update.
The problem is:
When I have set new event in settings menu to be on pop-up, my phone doesn't stop vibrating (when someone calls) when I have a videotone as ringtone. Even if the caller hangs up the phone keeps on vibrating.
It doesn't happen when I have set new event to be in the activity menu.

Does someone else have this problem with the new FW?
