Sony walkman DAC are very high end, and while these can be used on a mobile ( Sony already have hi-res 24bit/192khz DAC's on their hi-res enabled Xperia ).. the problem is the amplifier, AFAIK Walkman player does have a powerful amplifier which is the main problem here for it's size, thermal and power consumption...

Hahaha, Before I purchase my NW-A25 I have compare it to zx100 and found that the difference in sound quality is not so much. IMO is if Xperia line has the same quality or at least close to NW-A25 then it's good enough for mobile phone.
so... give xperia the same dac or amp of walkman A series should be good move!

Then and today we were never happy about the sound that comes out of the box

Yep I also had pha-1a before I sold it to bought onkyo dac-ha200... but oh well I really don't want to carry it all the time !

and sadly i've got plenty of blank MDs i never got to record anything on.. sigh.
less than 2 weeks til sony press conference... i am crazy excited. especially with nougat coming out today and the new nexus devices around the corner as well. i'll be upgrading this year so there's a lot of anticipation!

Still have 2 Walkman MD's and a home MD/CD combo ... this way I can copy CD's or line in.
