Sony's tablets don't follow the same model number scheme as their phones do. All tablets in the past start with SGP. SGP712 as an example was for the Z4 Tablet. There's a chance Sony may have changed it but unlikely.
I believe the old tablets were made by the Vaio guys, that's why they followed different codes, the striking resemblance of the Vaio TAP 11 and the fact disappeared when Vaio was sold off.

Also, for that mysterious device that showed up, since it seems to show 2 different screen sizes and resolutions, would it be possible it's a 6.2" screen and in 1080p mode the software detected it as such, and in 4k mode it didn't know what to make of the data and read it as a 12.3" display?
If there is a 6.2" device coming I'll be a bit pissed since that's pretty much what I wanted. I had to move on to a new phone since my Z Ultra was dying, and while i love my XZ Premium, I still long for a larger screen

The specifications are disappointing but expected with the reduced R&D budget. Perhaps Sony is counting on the improved battery performance of the SD835 and other components? Regardless I feel sales will fall further with so many other competitors offering larger batteries, super slim bezels, and higher resolution screens. Not to mention the new iphone is coming, regardless of its ridiculous price, people will buy it.
I am still skeptical on that G8541 device, results can be faked when only a photo is posted with no link to the benchmark.

The same double screen issue happens in the XZ premium so this helps but again, it could easily be a photoshop of the XZ premium and XZ1 benchmarks.

Iris scanner and desktop mode of S8 have been around since 2015, Lumia 950.
I read article on many sites. Ppl do not complain about size of Motorola Moto Z and G, Huawei P and iphones.
I bet XZP has better sales than G6.
If Samsung brings a phone with 65% screen, it would sell well anyway.

Sony already done that on certain markets. Nothing new. I'm using dual sim xperia x 64gb

Looks the same of XZ1. With a big power button.
