Well, my cheap crappy 3.5mm adaptor broke the other day, which i use with my Tunecast, so now im considering buying the MMR-60 and biting the bullet.

I'll let you know whether i decide to buy one, or not.

I decided not to buy one, and instead bought a new CD player for my car.

By far the best decision ive made in a long time.

Sick of fm transmitters eh?

Did you get a CD player with an external audio source rca or 3.5mm input? That and a HPM-70 or MMC-60 would make the whole issue of fm transmitters in the car a mute point.

It was a £400 JVC cd player, half price !.

Simply could not say no. It has the RCA type connectors at the rear.

I wanted a Sony stereo with not only the RCA connectors but a 3.5mm line-in, but of all the ones i chose none were in stock so i went for a slightly more expensive JVC.

nice. You should definitely invest in the MMC-60, I think you'll be quite surprised just how good it sounds. One thing, you will be strongly tempted to use 128 or better AAC compression - the MMC-60 really shows how much better 192 or 128 Kbps compression is compared to 64 or even 96Kbps. I'm now using 128Kbps myself (and will re-rip everything to 192Kbps when I get a bigger mem card).

Well i never use bitrates lower than 128kbps anyway so all my mp3 files sound great anyway. Ill probably sell the tunecast now and not bother with the mmr-60 at all.

I must admit I've changed my tune, I used to use 64Kps on some tracks, and 96 on some that didn't translate that well at 64. But that was a hang over from the K700 where space was a premium. I've finaly got my shit together and had a proper listen to 128 and 192 aac rips via the mmc-60 rca lead straight into my stereo, and I was suitably impressed. After listening via stereo I went back to the headsets and the difference was obvious there also. Enough that I'm now wearing shorter playtime for better quality. Once I get a 2GB msdp, I'll go from the 128 I'm using now to 192. To bad it tops out there
