the thing is that i just received the phone and plugged it into my computer, it must have gone 10-15 minutes and it still doesn't show any lifesigns... should i continue to wait or is it broken??

i dont think there is anything wrong with the usb, i have used the same computer for scharging other devices.
i still have the old activesync 3.8 from the mpx220, must i upgrade it for the phone to charge or??

windows mobile 5 devices require activesync 4 and above so you definitly won't be able to sync
not sure if that has anything to do with the charging though, but statr with that. its available on the microsoft site

I have installed 4.1 now, but nothing seems to changed. The device still doesn't turn on or seems to charge. My mpx220 started a animation if it was turned off and i put it to charge, shouldn't this do it also??

yeah, the k-jam should turn on when you conect it to the USB port
it should open up activesync and statr chargnig too.
I have no further ideas for you I'm afraid
