@Ying: I've downgraded my T68 from R5A to R2F (Parrot Handsfree Carkit didn't work anymore), everything worked fine. But as Waikincheng wrote, don't blame on me if something goes wrong.
Cheers,
Rog.

Anyone here succeeded in reading a Firmware from a PC running on Win2k? I'm able to flash mobiles, but I can't read the firmware... It starts reading, but then there is no progress... And the worst is: one Log is gone!
Cheers,
Rog.

May be this is not the place for this message but...
I used remote unlocking from
www.unlocking.co.uk .Last week I run into a problem where the Ericcson Client keep saying OK but the NCK, SPCK, CCk ... are all blank. Device ID and IMEI are all zero. And of course the credit is kept counting down.
I contact the unlocking support and the response very quick and the best is they give back the credit that I lost.
Even the problem of NCK is still unsolved but I am happy with their customer service.
I would definetely recommend this to my friends.
Keep it up .

Some more info..
I flashed a Cingular T68i with the R5C001 AT&T Firmware files I posted and
IT COPIED THE AT&T SETTINGS AND REMOVED THE CINGULAR MENU LOCKS!
I've posted up the ORIGINAL Cingular Firmware at my site, *JUST IN CASE* somebody wants to go back
For those people who have T68i phones and wants AT&T MMode Service then this will be a way to go to get those settings in (as nobody knows what the MMode profile settings are)..
Aditionally, for Cingular T68i people, bluetooth is broken on the firmware, it's a good idea to update the firmware if you are planning on using it..

BTW, there's an *interesting* side effect..
That is the firmware update seems to *copy* even the Life Timer and Joystick Count info..
It can be both a good and a bad thing..
At least before flashing the Cingular T68i, it had 0 on the call timer, and 28 joystick counts - after doing so, the Call timer was 30 minutes with a Joystick Count of 5600 (which were the stats from my original AT&T T68i)..
Either way, it's still better than having the WAP Profiles blocked on the Cingular..

Great work guys!!
I just have a question for those who have successfully flashed their T68 by themselves, what OS did you guys use? IE, Windows 2000? Win 98 or Win XP? I don't know if it really matters but I thought I saw a post somewhere, that EricsClient doesn't work correctly under Windows 2000. Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!!

I use winxp and it works. Win9x is the basic platform that must work, because the software originally designed for it. And if xp works, I think that w2k should work as well, because they use the same core. And, the post you refered only said that "reading" doesn't work, but flashing also work. Well, I haven't tried reading on my winxp.

refering to the discovery of funks, if you guys want a "clean" firmware, that means one with no any preset profile, my R5D is the one you want. It is also on funk's page of firmware.

Reading and Writing works on XP as that's what I used..
I'm on the hunt for a R5D007 from a US T68i with no Provider customizations, and a call timer of 0 with a joystick count of less than 30.. Anybody have that?
This method is better than EMMA in some respects as it can get rid of the provider added crap..
