Any1 tried this trick on Edge enabled phone? please let me know the maximum speed ur getting on bsnl prepaid and average speed?

I will buy a New BSNL Prepaid SIM card (Rs220/-) in that they will give Rs 50 as talktime and 7days validity. Firstly now can i get gprs activated with Rs50 as balance?? And what is logic behind Minimum balance of Rs 500/-? Is it true that without Rs 500 they wont activate GPRS services???
After 7days if I dont recharge then can i still use this trick ? I mean to say in grace period (90days) ? Am from hyderabad.
Please guys reply back soon! Am getting a good fancy number. So i can grab it soon, if things work for me.

The problem of bad service @ BSNL is not due to it emplotees but due to government...The employees are old about 45 now....They are given only max.3 day training before giving new post...Coaching on new tech is done by private institutes who teach only texts....So BSNL employees are dump...More than that they will get punisment for revealing something confidential(nothing is actually)...even suspension...No body want to take risk...
Also employee strength is also low...So low morale ...Bad service...

I got a sensational 5.6 mbps... From the Bsnl site of calcutta telephones... That speed test is just pathetic.. And not true..

I need ur help, i got the g showing up on my screen. But i cannot connect to the net though opera. I am a little confused i have nokia galary wherein i can connect through the server through A*T*L LIVE 2.
that is after following all the steps in your thread. I seriously dont know what i am asking. Is there anyway i can reset on my configurations on my cell. my opera version is some 6.something. I followed all ur steps in ur thread but i stil cant use opera, it says services: cannot access remote server. At some instances i can connect through A*T*L LIVE 2 and some i cant but i can never through opera. Tell me if i am atleast askin the right questions. Please give me some suggestions as to what i should do.
