@QVGA-hmm, just read your post on the N91 vs W950 thread. By your own admission you pick the W950 for looks, touchscreen and, wait for it, BRILLIANT SCREEN! Exactly what are you saying about SE screens?

Lol Yeah he condradicts himself.

What do you expect from a fanboy with no real knowledge. Then again hes stuck out in the sticks in Pakistan so let him be.

Whats pakistan got to do with anything? Is that the last resort for you? Saying stuff about my country, got nothing better to say? Seriously, show some class if you got any. Atleast i'm proud enough of pakistan that i can tell pple where i live. You, i guess, live in a place thats not even worth mentioning, which btw, you actually havnt.

hmm.. this is too hot.. ehehe, nokia and SE doesnt seem to go together. Btw, why the topic has shifted to N71? i thought this is comparison btw N73 and K800?

Is N71 is good? Australia doesnt even recognize the phone.. i thought its a failure (they know N73, N70, no N71 here!!! seriously!!). Even someone said that N80 is a failure as well.. together with N92 (because of N93?).
Get a life man!! talking about someone's faulty will never come to an end. I've seen somebody arguing that K800's faulty is more than usual. That's a very funny comment i must say. So what? they talk as if they got the faulty one (which im sure, the one who post it, doesnt even have the phone--and i know it because if he/she has one, he/she wouldn't even say that in the first place.)

Its an individual choice really, someone may prefer N73 or K800 is really a personal choice. I found that the back part of the N73 is pretty cool but i hate the keypad (Nokia's keypad has a terrible design). So, i decided to go for K800, since i like the design (from any angle ^____^). It is one of the most professional looking phone i've ever had (N73 is also proffesional lar.. if you choose the dark brown colour, if it is red, it looks superrr daggy, like the 1970's color). Technology wise, they are ok. Some ppl prefer symbian (i used to, but not now.. haha, since i got my N70 i think symbian ain't as good as it sound--none of their application on the net are useful.. unless ppl can help me to grab some really good and useful and free software ). So, since i dun have a good resource, it really makes K800 to be a better candidate for me, so i DEFINITELY go for K800. It is CHEAPER as well.

It's been said on the net, K800 is one of the most popular mobile phone now.. it's been regarded as the best mobile phone in some websites and the demand of the phone is really really high accross different countries. It is of course very very popular here since its first release. go SE!

The biggest nag I have with SE phones is their inability to use the EDGE network! With a few exceptions all of them still use the by now outdated GPRS or the ridiculously flawed 3G (short usefull range, kills the battery, instable connection speeds etc). Apart of the camera there is nothing much to compare. Never the less SE does well for a small company. Middle to low range phones seems to be SE's game now. They've realised - the smart phone marked is already taken by WM5 (PDA/CELLPHONE) and S60 (CELLPHONE/PDA)

K790 uses edge?
W810 uses edge?

Its country specific, we lucky that both our networks support all type of data!

Damn these discussions.

Either the posts are written by idiots who hasn’t tried both phones. Or think because they read some PR material about features they can figure out what phones is best. They have a term for people like that: Morons!

I have tried both phones intensely and for once there is not a given winner. Let’s forget about the past – Nokia used to be so far behind with technology it seemed almost as a joke. For people with light versions of Alzheimer’s:

Color screens
Bluetooth
Camera
Media playing (they crippled their phones on purpose so that they could on play in mono)
Software update
Grid-view menu

I could go on but the fact is SE has always been having an edge in technology. The only new stuff Nokia brought to the table was N-Gage and Wibree. Both things should have their R&D department fired for total incompetence. Don’t even get med started on the N-Gage – I mean how lame can you be when designing a product? Instead of a widescreen they made a higher screen because players really need to see more sky and ground in games. And you had to take out the battery when changing games for crying out loud!

Anyway the N73 is a completely different story (as long as we don’t forget Nokia’s lowtech past). It is very rich on features and on paper it looks better than K800/K790 when it comes to features.

I really had a hard time choosing but ended up with the K790i because I like the software update feature, find the camera slightly better and the whole phone to be much speedier. Besides is has better battery life and MediaPlayer (with dedicated buttons – things that make your everyday use MUCH better) IMO.

But I really liked the N73 a lot – these phones are really close and it’s only small subjective functions that separate one from another.

BTW: My brother has always been a die hard SE fan and he ended up with N73 this time around. I don’t blame him but I went with the K790i.

Lol Yeah he condradicts himself.

What do you expect from a fanboy with no real knowledge. Then again hes stuck out in the sticks in Pakistan so let him be.

A lot of people in parts of the world where technology arrives late tend not to have any real insight into types of phones but instead jump up at the first one that comes out.

For years SE has always been ahead of Nokia in terms of imaging. The perfected the autofocus with the s700 whilst Nokia still used fixed focus.

You talk of your n71 as being better than the k800 qvga yet that in reality is one of the cheapeset made Nokia handsets.. There is an interview with a Nokia rep and he actually talks about the different n range phones and in a nutshell he talks of the n7* range being the lowest.

You can brag all you want but there are still bugs toda with the n80 that havent been fixed and how long has it been out? What does that say for Nokia that they fitst delayed the n80s release by 3 months due to symbian issues which are supposed to be so advanced and they are yet facing problems.

Infact the n71 was considered such a waste of a phone UK didnt even bring it out on general release. LOL

The S700 had no autofocus - so, considering your own definition, you're a fanboy. Hilarious.

LOL maybe i am. Then again ive switched from Nokia to SE every year when a new model comes out. But these days SE release less high end phones but at least make sure there largely bug free.
