Well im stuck, i have just come from a M600 so am used to not having a flip.
But i think it looks nice with the flip on , and without it you miss some valuable functions.
I mean why can they not put a call button on the screen like on the M600, and why no sms pop up notification.
Gonna try with it off see how it goes.

Love the flip.
Yeah, me too.......
And dizzle, it was not compared to anything, it was stated since that was the FIRST Symbian phone that had such a BIG SCREEN and gave the alternative to have nothing but the screen in front of you. Looked great... but again,
....love the flip......

Looks like a PDA with the flip removed......
But of course, P-series has always been Phone-PDA......
And it looks AND works like a phone with the flip on! So mine stays, always......

I have to say gdesk and longs cuts made use the P990 without flip much more than before...now i love it, although having the flip makes it much more versatile

Well, after reading this post and using my old P800 in FO for 4 years, I think I'll try the same for my P990 i and see how it goes........
Gdesk is not bad, but I miss the Tracker app. which I had on theP800....It was easier to use than the Gdesk and I think had more options in FO...
I hope someone comes up with a UQI3 Tracker...There are still quite a lot of P990i users out there who would appreciate it.........

I have to admit that after more than two weeks of using the P990 in FO and with the new updated gdesk v0.14d, using the phone now is a joy........FO rules.....

Just dropped my phone from a good height while running for the bus, so I'm afraid it's FO for me all the time unless I can find a replacement flip

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I'm gonna miss my flip
