whoever says that the p1 is the successor of the p990? i don't think so, even if mobileburn thinks so. it's more likely a sucessor of the m600, except SE might be integrating the M series into P series seeing as no camera devices does not hold much allure for the end-market.

that's a paradox, mate. how can it not be the successor and yet suceed the p990? i think it's nothing to do with the p990, it's just a filler while SE work on the real thing.

A lot of people don't want to think of the P1 as a successor to the P990 because it's not in the flip tradition of the P800/P900/P910/P990, but it is a P series and it does replace the P990 in the lineup, for however long, so I think people need to get over that. Personally, as a happy user of the P800 and P910 for three years, I think the M600/P1 arrangement is better...
