Wonderful, I just tried to upgrade mine when my laptop went down into hibernate and stopped the update. Now I can't turn the phone on and when I try to redo the flashing SEUS says mym phone can't be updated since it already has the latest software in it. Any ideas?
Btw, just called sony ericsson callcenter and they said I have to send the phone in to have it fixed. Great!

You can try to reflash the phone with the software of davinciteam.com - but they will charge EUR 20,- for it.

is this really the last firmware update for p990i? i am planning to get this phone, but if there would be no more updates for it, then maybe i would consider getting the p1i. or is there an upcoming model that would have a flip instead of a qwerty.

even if you have the latest FW, just continue or force update it...maybe the firmware is corrupted that's why it happened to your fone

That's strange.
Even if you should have the latest version it should say that 'The latest software is already installed' while you should still have the option to 'Continue'.
You may retry reflashing.
What's your cda, by the way ?

Tried reflashing about five times, then I gave up and sent the phone to our IT-department. Lucky me, I started my vacation today, so I wont need it for three weeks.
It's world generic 1 btw.

bindasguyz, I believe that your CDA number is Hong Kong Chinese Simplified. I have this too, and I don't think the new firmware has been released for us yet... hopefully soon.
