C702i is so good and good design, and all options, if price is normal i will buy it

i fear this 4.2mm focal length will produce much noisier pics in lowlight conditions.

k800/k810 has 5.2mm
P1 has 4.8mm
nokia 6500 slide has 4.5mm

i like though the design and features. i just hope c702 will capture photos better than k770 (if it can not be at par with k800/k810)

i think C902 camera will beat K850's. K850's single yet major issue with the cam quality was the nasty lens protector (with no low-pass filter) that causes all those purple fringing thingy and amplifies the noise even more exaggeratedly than G800's smaller sensor.

how does the camera module slide out i wonder...is there a button? or do we need to manually open it with both hands. since it's located only at the top part of the phone, it doesn't look as though u can slide it open to activate it with one hand

I don't like the designs of these two.

c702, very unelegant look. I know they're for rugged use but it does not have to look the part.

c902, boring look.

I was impressed by the features that's why I said they were nice, but now that i've taken a better gander at them, i'm a bit disappointed.

I applaud SE though for the direction they have taken with the keypads. wide and ample. I'm glad that it seems they have done away with the small squares.

I hope c702's cam takes great pics. especially scenic shots. if your an outdoor/hiking buff then this is the perfect phone. capturing those breath-taking views while on the top of a mountain, beautiful islands while on a boat out at sea, wild flora/fauna in the middle of a jungle.

I know it's still not a replacement for dedicated camera but if you want to save space with your packing and you're not too much into high reso images then then this is a welcome adventure gear.

Regarding the xenon flash....

it does not have xenon flash............. but it is not LED either (M-R is making a mistake)
this new technology is called (((photo flash))) and is OFFICIALLY stated that it matches xenon flash in case of photo lighting...

you see? it is called optimal lighting for exellent picture quality...

As far as i know purple fringing issue is because of microlenses.

the camera module is different, so don’t expect it to produce K850i-grade snaps; however the maker says they won’t be all that worse.

to me it means worse pic quality, and it make sense, because C902 is 6 millimeter thinner than K850i, shorter focal length, and predictably narrower aperture, so camera module should be different. just like K750i and K550i cam modules.

and for C702: if its pic quality is better or even on par with K800/K810, i think it's acceptable, otherwise it's another failure.

any word about c702 and c902's video recording capabilities?

what resolution?
what frame rate?

I read that the x1 has vga resolution @ 30frames/sec. - so I think a new top-line cybershot ought to have it too.

do you have a link would be great if they did but wouldn't SE anounce that in the features?
