Agree with that, Boinng. It's laughable, but symbian is getting competition from the iPhone on all levels. We know already, for example that people buy a smartphone for watching movies and pics, and for listening to music, or reading ebooks. And you can do that on the iPhone. The drawback being that you're stuck with content- portals and the manufacturer's and the service provider's content and so on, but that just won't worry most people - that's been proven often enough. And it's not like any competition, including UIQ isn't plagued by the same disease at the moment, anyway.

If we are talking about Operating Systems now (I'm having trouble keeping up with what features we're comparing in this thread as it is constantly changing) then I certainly agree. With iPhone OS the possibilities are endless, as it is basically a watered down version of Mac OS X, with firmware updates will come extra features and I think with the AppStore there's going to be some pretty tasty applications available, and because the Apps need a digital signature by Apple to be able to be put on the AppStore there is not going to be any crappy software available, it will all be very high quality.

boinng, it DOES NOT have office doc editing, only viewing, again check your facts

Unsubsidized price in italy: 499 for the 8gb versio, 599 for the 16 gb version

And just another little thing, to those claming uiq is going down: g900 will be a success, and probably the most sold uiq device ever - just read its first users coments, specially people that never had a smartphone. While is not a super phone, its something SE should have done along time ago.

rofl. Good god. You really would go for that? Given the choice, you really would choose a content- portal from one provider, made to their limited specifications, rather than shop around from independent developers?

You're right, but what's the odds that Microsoft aren't developing Office for iPhone as we speak, they'd be stupid not to as I personally think it's going to be quite a big market. Mark my words an iPhone version of Microsoft Office will be available on the AppStore one day.

@Nipsen - I didn't say that did I, I merely said that the software will be good quality.

Let me make it easy - NEW:

Internal GPS
HSDPA high speed data
Exchange support (eg full corporate-strength email/calendar/tasks/contacts built in)
Full range of third party apps downloadable from the app store
Easily affordable, network-subsidised price competitive with anything from SE etc

I'm sure there's more, but those are the headlines, and they're not insignificant.
