Thanks Groovepeppy! So all I have to do is disable the threaded/chat view and the menu will appear?

I've been monitoring my Elm's connectivity for the past few weeks. My usual setting is 3G/GSM, letting the phone connect automatically to whichever signal is better. On my route to work there are 2 spots which have zero to near zero signal level for either 3g or GSM & have noticed that it takes the Elm much longer to reconnect to the home network than my W995 (even after I've crossed over to an area with a much stronger signal).

This is probably something that a firmware update can fix but it's one possible reason why some people are reporting poor connectivity. The delay in regaining a signal can range to anywhere from a minute to 5 minutes (note that this is in a moving vehicle).

I think Hazel's screen is scratch resistant while Elm is splash resistant.
Even if Elm is scratch resistant, I doubt it coz of the material used.. better use a transparent film screen protector just to be safe.
Since there is no elm protector available here in my country, I just cut one from a psp screen protector and it was so frustrating. The finish product didn't even look good.

I couldn't find a screen protector for the Elm in my country too so what I did was purchase one that was made for the W595 (same 2.2" diagonal screen) and stuck it right in the middle. The bad thing is, the flat surface around the screen is not covered but at least the screen is scratch-resistant now.

Luckily in Hong Kong most shops (and street market stalls) put them on for you when you buy at no extra cost. And they've done thousands, so they always get it right. If they make a mistake they'll give you a new one!

Is it just me or have SE removed the feature that allows the contact picture to be displayed automatically when a txt is recieved. I cant seem to find where to enable this on my Hazel. I have set all my contacts up with their respective pics but when I recieve txts from them, their display pics do not show but instead the alert is shown as a 'new event' with the name of contact only. Has anyone else noticed this?
