Not a lot of negatives in that review, the camera is a big +, some design irritations and the screen also gets a big 'like'. Sony needs to move ICS into the frame and quickly.

I got the Xperia U yesterday which has similar sized battery & so far battery is holding up well on first charge
Seems Sony have done well. I may get the P in future
And no yellowing on the U screen either

My Xperia P is coming tomorrow from Clove, no NFC tags in the box so I've ordered some separately. Its to replace my HTC Desire which has served my very well, no other phone has lasted longer than a week in my hands but I'm optimistic about this one.

Here in Sweden the NFC tags seem to be provided in the box.
