even the current z1 will probably work no? I know Z said only support up to 32 gig, but 64 gigs works fine without any issue.

then the pictures must be quite good, always find galaxy pictures less noisy than xperia.

i really wonder how this happens. when you go to photographyblog, their tests show the xperia z1 having less noisy photos and the galaxy s4 having the noisier photos even at the lower iso levels.

i tend to agree that z1 has noisier photos but i thought photographyblog is/was credible.

ordered a 128GB yesterday in anticipation regardless of Sonys updated info... its a HW restriction not a SW one... my N900 will be able to read the 128GB card when it comes in.

SDHC is compatible with SDXC and just works... the write/read speeds however may differ though.

I'm really stuck now. I was entirely set on getting the compact once the premium for importing it dropped a bit, but now this is out and they've fixed all my potential concerns (with exception MAYBE to the camera)...

My only question left is how the battery life stacks up vs the compact. And if Sony dawdles with the US release of this one I'm going to punch a hole through a Sony staffer

So according to qualcomm, the new 801 supports now h.265 for 4K, although I have no idea if this is the chip that is in the Z2, since there are the 2 801s which were announced. If this is the case that the Z2 uses the one with h.265, then it will be an advantage for 4K and probably such a feature will not be moved over to the Z1 due to lack of dedicated h.265 chip.
