I have not understood what is the advantage with wireless charging. Either you plug in a charger cable to the phone or keep it on a charging pad which is connected to the charger cable.
And infrared? Who's is using infrared in 2014? And for what? Slow speed data transfer to PC or remote control for your TV? I'd expect Apple to intentionally eliminate the infrared if people were going to use their expensive iPhones as TV remote controls.

Exactly my point as well. If those 2 were so widely used I would understand using them as negatives but as it stands it seems a bit of nitpicking from GSMArena

When you hold the 6 in your hand you understand how damn nice the phone is. It's so light for it size and feels incredible durable.
I for sure going to buy the black one.
Fun to see the 6 vs alpha VIDEO.
How insane ugly And boring is Android ???
It's light years away in design and interface against IOS.
I so hate Samsung plastic chassis who looks the same on trillions models. . I much rather have a Nokia with windows 8 if I had to skip Apple.

Maybe try and use Android before stating your your nonsense on these forums - unlike on IOS you can change the look and feel of the phone completely
And the fact that you hate plastic but state that you would use Nokia again shows that you have no idea - what do you think those Nokia phones are made up of.

umm... just because you dont use it, or maybe dont have a need for it, does not mean that its useless. Or that other people does not use it.
about wireless charging. Well, if you're using a waterproof phone, there's more than likely a chance that the charging port is usually covered rubber or plastic flap. Most phones nowadays have high(er) capacity batteries so you dont really have to charge them everyday. But still, even if only once or twice a week, closing and opening that flap repeatedly can sometimes make it loose over a period of time. Like using waterproof phones from Sony or Samsung - wireless charging makes a lot of sense.
while I agree that infra-red is a very old technology, its still one of the most cost-effective and simple ways of remotely controlling something. Which is the reason even the most advanced Ultra-HD TV's still use them as remotes. I think bluetooth is still seen as expensive and battery-draining. Anyway, I remember this one time when a presentation had to be done in the office... and the remote was busted (somebody stepped on it by accident). Using a samsung to control the TV was definitely better than having 24 people hunch down on a 15 inch laptop screen.
its like a condom, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
cheers!

You do know, of course, that you can extremely customize android, right? Everything form the font, to the keyboard, to the menus.... everything.
It's light years away in design and interface against IOS.
You didn't know that HTC was the FIRST to have that plastic overlay design with the HTC One? "Light years ahead?" So having that camera protrude at the back is a sign of good design? Apple even tried to hide it!

Yup, Lumias have polycarbonate chassis.... in other words, its "made of PLASTIC!"

Don't even go there. Nokia have WAY higher build quality on their phones then Samsung.
Just feel the plastic Nokia using on many models (it's close 5c quality), and It's much better then Samsung.

^ Samsung Alpha which you were dissing early for the plastic built has been praised for its solid built - if you would have held it you would know that yourself
