@dickie

yup, once you save the settings, WAP/GPRS works right away. Its just for MMS that you have to call Globe CS.

For the others, I don't know, maybe I'm just lucky but everytime I want to install settings on any phone, I've just used the 'GO xxxx' to 2951 and it has always worked. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the settings to arrive, but it always works once I save it into the phone.

For the person whose mms worked immediately without calling Globe, that was a miracle. I bet that person can walk on water too!

GOwin

Last year you posted and I quote:

I'd just like to ask for feedback from fellow Globe users who uses GPRS connections to connect their PCs or laptops.

I find it irritating that my connection suddenly drops out, and though im still connected to the network I can't reach any website.

If I try to browse the net from WAP or my PDA, the connections work but using my laptop it fails.

The problem seems random but only occurs with when I use the laptop.

I was just wondering if you can share me the solution to your problem if you have already found the remedy. Thanks.

@paul maraming salamat sa advice. my phone's working now now if i can only configure my pc to be able to use globe gprs when surfing the net. YES, some prepaid cards are GPRS enabled, at least for globe. This post was posted from a WAP device
