I havent gone through the entire post so i'm assumin you're refering to the site in the very first post. I had tried that site a couple of months back n me n my mates found it very inaccurate so i searched and found another site which is very good and in english. Dont remember the addy but go to my wapsite http://dezone.mcommunity.biz Go to mobile tools>>>phone zone>>>gprs speed test 1. Its good

The speeds reported are already in kbits/sec so you dont need to multiply by 8.

I got 1.37 Kbit per sec using Nokia 6600 Hutch GPRS(Bangalore) on http://wap.portel.it/speed.asp
That works out to 10.96 Kbps?

Kbps is Kbits/sec
KBps is Kbytes/sec
1.37 Kbit/sec is 0.17KBps which is well a dead gprs connection
