Series 20 are non-colour Nokia OS phones with a 84 x 48 screen, ie. 3210, 3310, 5110, 6110, 8210, 8850, 8910
Series 30 are colour/non-colour Nokia OS phones with a 96 x 65 screen, can also have Java and MMS support, ie. 3510/i, 6510, 6310/i, 8910i
Series 40 are colour Nokia OS phones with a 128 x 128 screen, Java, MMS, Pop port, speakerphone etc. ie. 7210, 6610, 6100, 5100, 6800, 3100, 3200, 3300, 6220, 6230, 7250/i. NOTE: 3G Series 40 phones have a 128 x 160 screen (6650, 7600) and are often mistakenly called Series 45 phones
(smartphones)
Series 60 are Symbian OS phones (note: other manufacturers use this platform too, like Sendo, Samsung, Siemens) with a 176 x 208 screen etc, ie. 7650, 3650, N-Gage, Sendo X, Siemens SX1, Samsung D700
Series 80 is the current communicator platform with a 640 x 200 screen, Symbian OS etc ie. 9210/i, 9290
Series 90 replaces the 80, has touch sensitive 65K colour 640 x 320 screen etc, so far only 7700, in future the new Communicator
This explains a lot, but has some false information (3510i is really Series 30, the text seems to suggest that colour Nokias are automatically Series 40 or higher, also there is no such thing as Series 45):

No way will the T630 beat the Nokia 6230. I mean the added key features in the Nok like mp3 player, 6MB of memory and radio will anihilate the T630. I think SE have been going with that box shape too long. They need to make it look more interesting like Nokia have done.

Bluetooth 1.2 (long range)

FM radio

Hmm...if its true it could contend with the Nokia 6230

The only reason I went back to sony ericsson is because there comparable phones are cheaper. Like nokia 3650 to t610. Wait though nokia 6610 and 3595 both pathetic phones came after the 3650. I would of got the 3650 if it was cheaper and did not have the ugly key pad.
